We are one of the few U.S. molders owned and operated by women, and our expertise goes deeper than founders Lynn Momrow-Zielinski and Joanne Moon Duncan. About 10 percent of our staff is made up of engineers, and our proximity to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, one of the nation’s premier engineering schools, ensures a steady flow of talent into the future.
Lynn graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a M.S. in Industrial and Management Engineering.
She was a Development Engineer for Mobil Chemical Company, and then became Operations Manager and Global Technical Marketing Manager for GE Silicones.
Lynn was subsequently General Manager of Canton Biomedical, which was acquired by Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics. She was then promoted to World Wide General Manager of the Laboratory Products Business Unit.
In 2002, Lynn co-founded Extreme Molding with Joanne Moon Duncan and remains an active managing partner in the business.
Lynn is Chair of the Advisory Board for Industrial and Management Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
During the winter months, Lynn enjoys curling. She is a competitive golfer in the warmer weather. She also enjoys walking, reading and supporting the local arts. She is a fifth-generation native of Upstate NY and lives in Albany with her husband Mark and two orange cats, Divot and Hobie.
Joanne graduated from Upsala College in New Jersey. She also pursued an MBA from Seton Hall University in New Jersey, where she was employed by L’Oreal-Lancome cosmetics as a Product Supervisor.
Joanne became a Plant Manager and, later, Director of Manufacturing for medical products manufacturer CR Bard.
After 13 years, Joanne left to become the second employee of UroMed, a medical device manufacturing startup that staged a successful IPO in 1994.
In 2000, Joanne became Worldwide General Manager of Healthcare Products for Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics.
In 2002, she co-founded Extreme Molding with Lynn Momrow-Zielinski, and remains an active Managing Partner in the business.
Joanne enjoys cooking, all forms of exercise (including golf), and lives in an 115-year-old brownstone in downtown Albany with her husband Bruce and two small but mighty dogs, Nick and Morgan.
Bob joined Extreme Molding in 2004 as Lead Process Engineer. He holds a B.S. in Materials Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y.
Bob’s expertise is in injection molding of thermosets, thermoplastics, and over-molding as well as designing for manufacturability. He is also well-versed in processing silicones, fluoro-elastomers, engineered resins and thermoplastic elastomers.
Bob’s interests outside of work include woodworking, skiing, hiking and spending time with his dog Logan.
Mike’s tenure with Extreme Molding began in 2009 as an intern, and eventually developed into a full-time Operations Manager/Design Engineer role.
Mike’s focus at Extreme Molding is to run an efficient and quality-focused production operation while also assisting customers in design optimization and mold design.
Mike graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (’10) and as captain of the 2009 RPI football team.
Mike most enjoys being a father, participating in sports year-round, and the changing seasons of Upstate NY. He has lived in rural Averill Park all of his life and now resides with his wife Rachel, and their two children Jack and Julia, and cats Emerald and Gibbs.
Corie joins Extreme Molding as our new Manufacturing Engineer with primary responsibilities in New Product Introduction, Processing and Quality.
Corie recently graduated with honors from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. During her time at RIT, she held internships with PCC Structurals, an investment casting company in Groton, CT, and GE Lighting in Mattoon, IL.
Those internships not only provided her with experience in the field, but helped to solidify her love for manufacturing.
When not working, Corie likes to spend her time at the gym attending various fitness classes, traveling, hiking and camping with her family.
Dana was promoted to fulfillment supervisor in December of 2015. She and her team are responsible for packaging the majority of the products Extreme Molding produces. Dana then ships out packaged products to various customers across the country and overseas.
Dana is a graduate of SUNY Postdam, and has a degree in fine arts. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and her chocolate lab, Auggie. She is a member of Saratoga Women’s Rugby Club where she has also likes coaching younger teams. One of her other hobbies is small party and event planning. Her attention to detail has helped her to plan memorable experiences for family and friends.
