We are one of the few U.S. molders owned and operated by women, and our expertise goes deep. About 10 percent of our staff is made up of engineers, and our proximity to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, one of the nation’s premier engineering schools, ensures a steady flow of talent into the future.
Lynn graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a M.S. in Industrial and Management Engineering.
She was a Development Engineer for Mobil Chemical Company, and then became Operations Manager and Global Technical Marketing Manager for GE Silicones.
Lynn was subsequently General Manager of Canton Biomedical, which was acquired by Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics. She was then promoted to World Wide General Manager of the Laboratory Products Business Unit.
In 2002, Lynn co-founded Extreme Molding with Joanne Moon Duncan and remains an active managing partner in the business.
Lynn is Chair of the Advisory Board for Industrial and Management Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Lynn is a competitive golfer and also enjoys fitness, walking, reading and supporting the local arts. She is a fifth-generation native of Upstate NY and lives in Albany with her husband Mark and two orange cats, Divot and Hobie, and her schnoodle Winnie.
Joanne Moon Duncan
Joanne graduated from Upsala College in New Jersey. She also pursued an MBA from Seton Hall University in New Jersey, where she was employed by L’Oreal-Lancome cosmetics as a Product Supervisor.
Joanne became a Plant Manager and, later, Director of Manufacturing for medical products manufacturer CR Bard.
After 13 years, Joanne left to become the second employee of UroMed, a medical device manufacturing startup that staged a successful IPO in 1994.
In 2000, Joanne became Worldwide General Manager of Healthcare Products for Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics.
In 2002, she co-founded Extreme Molding with Lynn Momrow-Zielinski, and remains an active Managing Partner in the business.
Joanne enjoys cooking, all forms of exercise (including golf), and lives in an 115-year-old brownstone in downtown Albany with her husband Bruce and small but mighty dog, Nick.
Mike’s tenure with Extreme Molding began in 2009 as an intern, and eventually developed into a full-time Operations Manager/Design Engineer role.
Mike’s focus at Extreme Molding is to run an efficient and quality-focused production operation while also assisting customers in design optimization and mold design.
Mike graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (’10) and as captain of the 2009 RPI football team.
Mike most enjoys being a father, participating in sports year-round, and the changing seasons of Upstate NY. He has lived in rural Averill Park all of his life and now resides there with his wife Rachel, and their two children Jack and Julia, and cats Emerald and Gibbs.
Ed joined Extreme Molding in 2017 as the firm’s Controller. Ed holds an MBA in Management from Cameron University and a B.S. in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance from The New York Institute of Technology. His previous experience included over a decade of working in multiple leadership roles for a variety of organizations.
Ed is responsible for the management of the company’s Administration, Accounting, Finance, and HR. He is tasked with improving and scaling related processes and systems to manage Extreme Molding’s growth and expansion.
Ed is from Schenectady, NY where he lives with his three rescue dogs. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as hiking, theatre and travel.
Engineering & Manufacturing
Bob joined Extreme Molding in 2004 as Lead Process Engineer. He holds a B.S. in Materials Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y.
Bob’s expertise is in injection molding of thermosets, thermoplastics, and over-molding as well as designing for manufacturability. He is well-versed in processing silicones, fluoro-elastomers, engineered resins and thermoplastic elastomers.
Bob’s interests outside of work include woodworking, skiing, hiking and spending time with his dog Logan.
Corie started with Extreme in 2015 after receiving her Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. Her love for manufacturing has grown her into a production management role and lead processor on the floor. Corie also handles all the new products and getting them ready for full production.
While not at work, Corie spends her time at her newly purchased home in Colonie, NY with her boyfriend Steven and their Chinchilla, Bubba. She also enjoys staying active at the gym, spending weekends with family and traveling as much as she can.
Josh began with Extreme Molding as an Intern in 2013 then subsequently, in 2015 after graduating from The University of Delaware with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, joined the firm fulltime. He holds a critical role as the Quality Engineer working to ensure our products meet the highest standards for quality and safety for our customers. Josh also supports the Engineering Team with analysis and data recording to improve manufacturing efficiencies.
Josh and his wife Emily reside in Mechanicville, NY with their two cats, Moe and Ann Purrkins. In his leisure time, Josh enjoys hiking, camping, cooking, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Kevin is a new addition to the Extreme Molding team in 2017. He recently graduated from SUNY Polytechnic Institute with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Prior to that, Kevin received an Associate’s Degree from Hudson Valley Community College in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Kevin’s mechanical background qualifies him to troubleshoot machines and maintain them for high reliability to insure the plant runs smoothly. His passion comes from a love of working on cars in his free time, serving as a volunteer firefighter, and the thrill of challenges that face him in the Engineering field.
Fufillment & Packaging
Joe joined Extreme Molding in 2017 as Fulfillment Manager after spending 14 years in logistics management at a leading national freight company. Joe’s expertise is in logistics management, freight operations, and customer service, all which are critical components of Extreme Molding’s national and international packaging and shipping expansion. He manages daily warehouse operations while implementing best practices for efficiency and quality assurance.
Joe enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and kayaking. A lifetime resident of Rensselaer County, he and his wife Claudette live in Grafton in their restored 1820s farmhouse.
Dana has been a member of the Extreme Molding team since September 2014. As a critical member of the Fulfillment team, she provides excellent customer service on a daily basis to Extreme Molding's customers while working with the packaging team to prepare accurate, on time shipments. Dana ensures that all daily fulfillment orders, retail shipments, and large distributor orders both domestically and internationally are shipped efficiently to meet strict deadlines.
Dana is a graduate of SUNY Postdam with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts. She has a passion for reading, arts and crafts and in her leisure time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
