We are one of the few U.S. molders owned and operated by women, and our expertise goes deep. About 10 percent of our staff is made up of engineers, and our proximity to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, one of the nation’s premier engineering schools, ensures a steady flow of talent into the future.
Lynn graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a M.S. in Industrial and Management Engineering.
She was a Development Engineer for Mobil Chemical Company, and then became Operations Manager and Global Technical Marketing Manager for GE Silicones.
Lynn was subsequently General Manager of Canton Biomedical, which was acquired by Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics. She was then promoted to World Wide General Manager of the Laboratory Products Business Unit.
In 2002, Lynn co-founded Extreme Molding with Joanne Moon Duncan and remains an active managing partner in the business.
Lynn currently serves on the Center for Automation Technologies and Systems (CATS) board at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Lynn is a competitive golfer and curler. She also enjoys fitness, walking, reading and supporting the local arts. She is a fifth-generation native of Upstate NY and lives in Albany in the winter and in her summer cottage in Grafton, NY with her husband Mark and two orange cats, Divot and Hobie, and her Schnoodle Winnie.
Joanne Moon Duncan
Joanne graduated from Upsala College in New Jersey. She also pursued an MBA from Seton Hall University in New Jersey, where she was employed by L’Oreal-Lancome cosmetics as a Product Supervisor.
Joanne became a Plant Manager and, later, Director of Manufacturing for medical products manufacturer CR Bard.
After 13 years, Joanne left to become the second employee of UroMed, a medical device manufacturing startup that staged a successful IPO in 1994.
In 2000, Joanne became Worldwide General Manager of Healthcare Products for Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics.
In 2002, she co-founded Extreme Molding with Lynn Momrow-Zielinski, and remains an active Managing Partner in the business.
Joanne enjoys cooking, all forms of exercise (including golf), and lives in an 115-year-old brownstone in downtown Albany with her husband Bruce and occasional visits from her seven grandchildren.
Mike graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (’10), and as captain of the 2009 RPI Football team.
Mike’s tenure with Extreme Molding began in 2009 as an intern, and he then joined full-time in 2010 as Production Manager/Design Engineer. Mike has held many different roles within the organization, including Operations Manager. At the start of 2018 - he transitioned into a Business Development and Engineering Management role.
Mike’s primary focus is to grow top line sales and bring customer's products to market faster than the competition, while maintaining profitability. Mike's degree in engineering and experience managing production help him assist customers in successfully taking their product from inception, through design for manufacturability, production, packaging, and introduction into the market.
Mike most enjoys being a father, participating in sports year-round, fishing, and the changing seasons of Upstate NY. He lives in rural Averill Park with his wife Rachel, their two children Jack and Julia, dog, cats, and chickens.
Ed joined Extreme Molding in 2017 as the firm’s Controller, taking over Operations in early 2018 and then becoming our CFO in mid-2019. Ed holds an MBA in Management from Cameron University and a B.S. in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance from The New York Institute of Technology. His previous experience included 15+ years of working in multiple leadership roles for both private and public companies in a variety of industries, from regional and mass-retailers, to national distribution operations, as well as legal and insurance firms.
As our CFO, Ed is responsible for the management of the company’s Operations, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Purchasing/Inventory Control and more. He is tasked with running safe and efficient, quality focused operations and ensuring on-time delivery to our customers, as well as improving and scaling related processes and systems to manage Extreme Molding’s continued growth and expansion.
Ed is originally from Schenectady, NY and lives in Latham, NY with his partner André and their three rescue dogs, Rocko, Bella Victoria and Montgomery. He is a self-described “locavore” with a passion for American manufacturing and supporter of the Arts.
Engineering & Manufacturing
Eddie joined the team in 2019 as our Engineering Manager. Eddie obtained a B.S. and Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from University of Buffalo in 2011. He is a Six Sigma Green Belt and has attended numerous training courses in Leadership Development.
Eddie started his career with Beech Nut Nutrition in 2011 as a Process Engineer and Maintenance Supervisor where he was highly involved in continuous process improvement projects and enhancing production efficiency. In 2013, Eddie joined Environment One Corporation as a Continuous Improvement Engineer and held various positions of increasing responsibility prior to joining Extreme. Since joining Extreme, he has already made significant contributions to our processing capabilities and plant infrastructure.
Eddie resides in Wynantskill with his wife, Rachael. In his spare time, Eddie enjoys skiing, mountain biking, soccer, playing guitar and home improvement projects.
Connor joined the Extreme Molding team in 2019 as a Manufacturing Engineer, after working in a firearms safety start-up where he worked with various polymers and injection molding techniques. A life-long resident of the Capital Region area, Connor’s interest in Engineering was sparked when he participated in a robotics competition in high school.
Connor went on to pursue an Associate Engineering degree from Hudson Valley Community College and subsequently a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. In his position of Manufacturing Engineer with Extreme, Connor focuses on the processing of new and existing products, as well as methods to optimize efficiencies throughout the operation.
Connor is a welcome new source of humor and spirited team work for Extreme, and in his spare time he enjoys competing with his airsoft team, volunteering in his community and fixing and repairing all types of automobiles.
Fufillment & Packaging
Joe joined Extreme Molding in 2017 as Fulfillment Manager and in 2018 was appointed Production Manager. As Extreme Molding’s Production and Fulfillment Manager, Joe is responsible for managing the company’s daily production, packaging and fulfillment operations while implementing and maintaining best practices for operations efficiency, quality assurance, and employee safety in a cost-effective manner that ensures customer satisfaction. Previously, Joe spent 14 years in logistics management at a leading national freight company and has expertise in logistics management, freight operations, and customer service, all critical components to sustaining Extreme Molding’s continued national and international growth.
Joe enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and kayaking. A lifetime resident of Rensselaer County, he and his wife Claudette live in Grafton in their restored 1840s farmhouse.
Dana has been a member of the Extreme Molding team since September 2014. As the Customer Service Manager, she provides excellent customer service on a daily basis to Extreme Molding's customers while working with the packaging team to prepare accurate, on-time shipments. Dana ensures that all daily fulfillment orders, retail shipments, and large distributor orders both domestically and internationally are shipped efficiently to meet strict deadlines.
