# Kaitlin Chitaman, Extreme Molding Engineer, Presents at LSR 2021
## **What is the LSR 2021 Conference? **
From September 13-16, 2021 the 3rd Annual Liquid Silicone Rubber Conference was held in Schaumburg, Illinois.
This conference brings esteemed professionals and scientists from around the world together to cover a range of engaging topics in all aspects of Liquid Silicone Rubber. The conference educates its attendees on the new commercial uses for LSR in various markets including medical, automotive, electronics, consumer products, and more.
The LSR Conference is a unique opportunity to:
- Learn about new silicone chemistry, novel processing and manufacturing techniques, emerging technologies, market dynamics, and new business directions of LSR.
- Meet key decision-makers and industry experts representing LSR suppliers, processing equipment manufacturers, molders, fabricators, and end-users.

## **Extreme Molding Presentation by Kaitlin Chitaman **
On the second day of the conference, our very own New Product/ Manufacturing Engineer, Kaitlin Chitaman, had the pleasure of presenting. Kaitlin graduated from RPI with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and is a key part of the Extreme Molding engineering team.
Her presentation on ‘Starting Up and Optimizing a New Injection Molding Process’ thoroughly explained our manufacturing processes, from mold preparation, to design, injection, and more! Here is a quick look at topics that she discussed in her presentation.
