Customer Story: John Maturevich, The Chamberlain Group
The Chamberlain Group (http://www.thecgroup.com) produces anatomically accurate medical models that capture the consistency and response of living tissue, providing the best alternative to animals and cadavers for training in new devices and procedures.
We outsource production on very few of our precision cast products, but we found that Extreme Molding meets our exacting standards. The company is responsive, honors deadlines, and offers competitive pricing. In the three years we’ve been working with them, we’ve found they always go “above and beyond” in customer service.
Extreme Molding has been a leader in handling challenging medical injection molding applications for 13 years. We are unique in that we do both medical plastic injection molding and medical silicone molding in the same facility outside Albany, N.Y.
Our founders, Lynn Momrow-Zielinski and Joanne Moon Duncan, built Extreme Molding with their combined experience in medical injection molding, Class VI-compliant, high-performance materials and international trade. They understood that many healthcare and baby product manufacturers did not want to take their production overseas. FDA regulations, the possibility of material contamination, the threat to intellectual property, or the simple desire to offer a made-in-the-USA product led to their desire to offer a domestic alternative. It was necessary to have the ability to do technically-demanding medical silicone molding, plastic molding and overmolding.
Joanne spent over 20 years in the medical device field, leading manufacturing operations producing devices for cardiology, radiology, urology and general surgery applications.
We have the engineering skills, technical precision and knowledge of high-performance materials to produce a wide range of non-regulated, white-wall compliant components for the medical industry, but we are best known for our partnerships with women’s healthcare and baby product manufacturers.
Medical plastic injection molding and medical silicone molding applications include:
Because we do all our medical injection molding in our upstate New York facility, and also source our molds and raw materials in the United States, we can provide full traceability and lot tracking. We do process validations and design of experiments, and we will meet your specifications each time. Our quality control systems are second to none, and we have a thorough understanding of FDA regulations.
Our services to the healthcare industry and baby product manufacturers do not end with the medical injection molding process. We will assemble your product in our white-wall environment, and add any necessary medical adhesives or coatings. All components are thoroughly inspected before packaging and shipping. Quality and safety are as important to us as they are to you.
